“Baba Disabled Kudiyiruppor
Podhu Nala Trust” was founded in the year
1999 by the inspirational words of Stevie Wonder
– “Just because a man lacks the use of his eyes doesn’t
mean he lacks vision”. With this inspiration the Trust
has been registered with Registration
No.53/4/2015 in the file of SRO Pammal, Tamil Nadu,
India.
Today the Trust provides opportunities to disabled in
education, medical aid and helps the poor and weaker
sections of the people. The Trust endeavours hard to
provide free medical aid and free legal aid and to run
night schools and medication class to the common public
irrespective of religion, caste, sex and political
affiliation. Also strives relentlessly for poor,
handicapped and blind people.
The Trust strives for welfare of the
members of the Trust and for development of surrounding
city people by providing medical facilities to disabled
and other persons. The Trust gathers (click
here for photo gallery) together all the
disabled persons of the area and involve in the
constructive services. The Trust is functioning
successfully without any political affiliated and
without any political identity.

The Trust raises fund from the public and utilizes the same
for the public purpose in a good way. The Trust is entitled
to receive any donation, gifts and other properties from the
public. It has the powers to receive gifts, cheques, money
transfers from Indian public as well as abroad.
The Trust is administered by the following Trustees, 1)
Dr. L. Sampath Kimar, Founder, 2) Mr.
E. Balasundaram, Vice President, 3) Mr. N. Yuvaraj,
Secretary and 4) Mr. S.Karthik,
TREASURER. The Trust also includes 20 more
members in their team.
The Trust activities are growing at a rapid rate and have
many ideas to enhance its services to the humankind. The

1) Establishing rehabilitation centres, equipped to grant
specially-
designed rehabilitative treatment for both children and
adults,
2) Distribution of free assistive devices like tricycles,
hearing aids,
walking
sticks, wheelchairs to help the differently-abled.
3) Sewing machines to poor widows.
4) Creating self-employment centres.
5) Conducting sporting events and other cultural events
for children
with
special needs to give them a platform to be recognised for
their
abilities and to promote social inclusion.
6) Assisting and getting Government Aids such as land, free
house
and
other resources to the poor. |

The above ensures disabled in performing their own tasks
without having to depend on others.
The Trust is quite sure and confident that its entreaties
well be answered soon and the motto of hope, help and
happiness to less fortunate, the disabled.

contributions from many donors and well-wishers and people
